This 2014  Gibson SGJ Electric Guitar Red 6-String (satin finish Cherry) is a lightweight, no-frills, US-made instrument designed to offer classic SG tone at a budget-friendly price point.

Key Features and Description

• Body & Finish: It features a solid, double-cutaway mahogany body with a thin, satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish that allows the wood grain to be felt and contributes to the guitar's resonance. The lack of a pickguard gives it a sleek, minimalist aesthetic.
• Neck & Fingerboard: The guitar has a set-in maple neck with either a '50s rounded or SG slim profile, designed for fast and comfortable playability. The rosewood fingerboard has a 12-inch radius, 24 frets (a distinguishing feature from standard 22-fret SGs), dot inlays, and a special "120th Anniversary" banner at the 12th fret to mark Gibson's 2014 milestone.
• Pickups & Electronics: It is equipped with a pair of uncovered Gibson '61 Zebra humbucker pickups (HH configuration) with Alnico V magnets, which provide versatile, vintage-inspired tones ranging from warm cleans to aggressive crunch. Controls include two volume and two tone knobs with black "Max Grip" speed knobs, and a 3-way toggle switch.
• Hardware: The hardware is typically satin chrome, including a Tune-o-Matic bridge and a stop-bar tailpiece for reliable intonation and sustain. It uses a Graph Tech nut and vintage-style tuners. The fret wire is cryogenically treated for extended life and corrosion resistance.
