The 1970s MXR M-117 Flanger is an iconic, analog bucket-brigade device (BBD) pedal, often featuring Reticon SAD1024 chips for a warm, lush, and metallic sweep. Housed in a durable grey metal box, it produces diverse modulation from subtle chorusing to extreme, jet-plane swooshes. 

• Circuitry: Utilizes analog BBD technology, famously featuring the Reticon SAD1024 IC, which is highly sought after for its specific, rich sound.
• Controls: Features four knobs: Manual (sets center frequency), Width (sweep range), Speed (modulation rate), and Regen (feedback intensity).
