Fred Turner modified this Carvin LB76 (6-string - made in the early 1990s) by converting it into a wide-neck 5-string instrument. Turner primarily utilized a customized, early-90s vintage Carvin model to fit his specific needs rather than the widely released "Fred Turner Signature" model. 

Turner's Carvin 5-string bass (converted LB76) features:
