This Gibson Custom Shop 60th Anniversary 1961 Les Paul SG is a faithful recreation of the guitar that marked a radical redesign of the original Les Paul. Key features include a sleek, all-mahogany double-cutaway body, a fast '61 thin-profile neck, vintage-voiced Custombucker pickups, and a period-correct Sideways Vibrola.

Key Specifications and Construction

• Body: Solid, un-weight-relieved 1-piece lightweight mahogany. It provides an extremely focused, resonant tone compared to traditional maple-capped Les Pauls.
• Neck: Solid mahogany with a long neck tenon and hide-glue fit. It features an Authentic '61 Thin Profile and an Ebony fretboard with a 12" radius.
• Finish: Thin nitrocellulose lacquer available in VOS (Vintage Original Spec), which allows the guitar to breathe and age beautifully.
