Used Ibanez 1986 ROADSTAR II Vintage Super S Electric Guitar Black 6-String

Description

This 1986 Ibanez Roadstar II is an iconic, Japanese-crafted transitional model from the '80s shred era. Featuring comfortable, rounded-edge basswood bodies and fast bolt-on maple necks, it bridges vintage styling with high-performance hardware, serving as the immediate predecessor to the legendary Ibanez RG series.

The 1986 lineup is heavily celebrated for its versatility, Japanese craftsmanship, and varied pickup configurations. Notable characteristics include:

• Body & Neck: Classic rounded-edge designs, typically constructed from basswood or ash, paired with a maple neck and a 22- or 24-fret rosewood or ebony fingerboard.
• Headstock: Features the classic, swoopy Roadstar II "blade" headstock, frequently painted to match the body.
• Pickups: Humbuckers
• Hardware: Equipped with advanced bridges for the era, such as the respected Ibanez Edge double-locking tremolo or the Powerocker tremolo, paired with smooth Ibanez tuning machines.
