The Union Tube & Transistor Tone Druid is a hand-wired, studio-grade overdrive pedal handcrafted in Vancouver, Canada. Serial number 0313 is an early standard edition of their flagship standalone overdrive, specifically designed to emulate the rich, dynamic sound of a clean boost pushing a classic 12AX7 tube amp.

Design and Tone

The Tone Druid was originally created to resolve an issue guitarists faced with clean boosts: driving the front end of a tube amp sounds fantastic, but the volume can be uncontrollable - this pedal helps to fix this.

• The Sound: It provides broad-spectrum saturation without the mid-heavy bump commonly found in traditional overdrives like the Tube Screamer. It spans from subtle amp-like grit to thick, rusty crunch and high-gain sustain.

• Versatility: Though originally built for guitar, it excels on bass, keyboards, and drum machines, making it highly reliable for working with unfamiliar backline amplifiers

Volume: Serves as a master volume to tame the circuit, allowing you to get heavily saturated tones at low bedroom or studio volumes.

Gain: Adjusts the amount of saturation and drive, going well beyond its maximum clean boost of +10 dB.

Tone: Acts as a standard high-end cut to dial in exactly how bright or dark you want your overdriven signal to sit in the mix.

Bypass: Features true bypass switching to ensure your signal remains perfectly pristine when the pedal is disengaged
