The JAM Pedals Red Muck is a highly sought-after fuzz-distortion pedal inspired by vintage Electro-Harmonix Big Muffs (specifically the '71 Triangle and the Russian Red Army/Civil War eras). It delivers thick, creamy, and articulate fuzz with a fatter low-end, pronounced midrange, and massive sustain.

The Red Muck has evolved over the years into several highly tweakable models.

• Mk. 2 Standard Version: Features a dedicated foot-switchable Boost circuit for extra gain/saturation, and a 2-way toggle switch to alternate between symmetrical (classic) and asymmetrical clipping.

• Bass Version: Adds an onboard Dry/Wet Mix knob so low-end frequencies from your original signal aren't lost, alongside the signature 2-gain-stage footswitch. [1, 2]
