The Squier Esquire is a "one-pickup wonder" heavily inspired by Fender’s historic 1950s launch. While it shares the iconic single-cutaway "T-Type" Telecaster shape, it features a unique wiring system specifically engineered for single-pickup layouts.

3. Position 3 (Neck): Routes the pickup through a fixed capacitor ("the mud cap") to preset a darker, bass-heavy warmth mimicking a mellow neck pickup tone
