Guild used a unified sequential numbering system for all acoustic models. Production for the year 1975 spanned from serial number 112804 through 130304, placing this guitar in the first half of that year's production run at the legendary Westerly, Rhode Island factory.

The 1975 Guild F-30 is a highly regarded, mid-sized acoustic guitar designed to offer a clearer attack and more defined string separation than bulkier dreadnoughts.

By 1975, the F-30 had recently transitioned from its original 1960s Martin-style "000" body shape into a slightly curvier, deeper "Mini-Jumbo" (or Orchestra) body style. This change gave mid-70s F-30s a more shimmery, balanced tone with excellent projection while maintaining a highly comfortable, compact profile. It features a clean aesthetic with a tight waist, a distinct tortoiseshell or black pickguard, and classic pearl dot fretboard inlays.
