This MXR Custom Audio Electronics (CAE) MC402 Boost/Overdrive is a compact dual-function guitar pedal that combines a dynamic overdrive circuit with an independent clean boost circuit designed in collaboration with Bob Bradshaw of Custom Audio Electronics.

Description & Features

• Overdrive Section: Delivers a classic, touch-sensitive overdrive ranging from a warm, bluesy breakup to a heavier crunch or full-metal-style saturation. It cleans up smoothly when you roll back your guitar's volume knob without losing body.
• Boost Section: Provides up to +20 dB of uncolored, clean signal boost, using the same circuitry from CAE's line-driver/boost designs used in professional touring rigs.
• Independent Operation: Features separate footswitches and LED indicators (red for Overdrive, blue for Boost) so you can use either effect on its own or stack them together.
• Status: Listed as a legacy product no longer in active production by Jim Dunlop.
