Used 1969 Gibson SG Special Husk AS IS Read Description

This is an unfortunate example of a repair gone wrong. Fortunately, YOU can breath some new life into this 1969 Gibson SG Special.

It suffered a headstock repair and a body break around the neck joint. The repair is solid if not pretty. Presumably, at the time of repair, the guitar was refinished black. There are still signs of the original vibrola (see photos of the plugged screw holes indicated by the post it). After repair, someone had installed aftermarket pickups, and didn't do a very clean job removing material to fit the pickup in the neck position. The pots, switch and jack are all original. They have not been tested for function. The only original hardware left are 4 of the tuning machines. The other two tuners are labeled Gibson, but do not match. The frets are in relatively good condition, but I cannot say for sure if they are original. I think not. The original case is included, but is quite musty and mildewy. It does hold the guitar securely.
