The Ibanez RG560 MIJ (1987 Vintage Super S) is an early Japanese-made RG series solid-body electric guitar, built by FujiGen during the first years of the RG line’s production. It features a fast-playing Wizard-style maple neck with 24 frets and a rosewood fingerboard, paired with a basswood body for balanced tone and comfort. The HSS pickup layout (humbucker in the bridge with single-coils in the middle and neck) and double-locking Edge tremolo give it versatile tones—from bright, articulate cleans to searing rock and shred sounds—while keeping tuning stable under heavy whammy use. Produced in very limited numbers in 1987 and prized by collectors and players alike, the RG560 combines vintage Japanese craftsmanship with classic late-’80s super-strat playability and tone.
