Used Fender The Strat 1980s AS IS Vintage Electric Guitar Natural

Description

This The Strat is certainly a case of the good, the bad, and the ugly.

The good...

• It has all the original parts, except for the tremolo arm.
• The pickups sound really good.
• It has a beautiful piece of rosewood on the fingerboard.
• It's a really good price, on a relatively hard to find guitar.

The bad

• Lots of finish wear
• It has been refretted, The refret was an OK job, but it can stand to use a quality fret leveling and dressing. It plays OK, but the action is a bit "medium" to account for the uneven frets.

The ugly

• The headstock repair... The headstock split, repaired, and repainted. The repair itself was done a very long time ago and doesn't seem to have moved or open up. The crack runs from just around the b string all the way to the to of the skunk stripe.
• The previous owner was a heavy smoker. We cleaned the guitar, and it is now odorless. However, the original case is still a bit smoky.

Have the frets dressed or slap a nice quality neck on it, and it should be pretty cool.
