Our Story
Founded in 1997 by Jeff Perkins and Ann Wood, we began as a friendly and fair place for musicians to sell and trade instruments. Today, we stand as on of the leading Music Go Round store nationwide!

What gear do you buy?
We specialize in buying a wide range of professional audio and musical equipment including:
- Guitars (electric, acoustic, bass)
- Synthesizers & electric keyboards
- Microphones and recording gear
- Guitar amps and pedals
- PA systems and live sound equipment
- Drums & cymbals (please call ahead when selling a drum kit - we can only fit so many in our store!)
We do not purchase Albums, CDs, home audio equipment, or toy instruments. If you're unsure whether we might be interested in your gear, feel free to give as a call at 770-931-9190!
When can I sell gear?
We start buying first thing at open and close the buy counter half an hour before store close.
Are prices negotiable?
Yes, with trades! The more cool gear you bring the better the savings. Most of our gear sells within the first 30 days but items that sit long enough are marked down until they sell.
How do I get paid?
When you bring in your gear, we give you two options: a check or trade credit. We can offer a bit more if you're trading rather than taking a check. If you choose the check, we write it on the spot and you can cash it the same day!
Must be 18 or older to sell, and remember to bring your ID. Please note that we do not offer cash payments in-store.
What is your return policy?
If you change your mind on a purchase it's no sweat - you have 7 days to exchange it for another item or store credit for later. If it's outside that range we offer our Buy-Back Guarantee!
For purchases made online you have 2 days upon delivery to let us know about any issues or if you would like to make a return.
Do you offer a warranty?
We want to make sure you're taken care of so we offer a 30 day warranty on all gear sold in-store. If you run into any issues we’ll either replace, repair, or refund your item, depending on the situation. Items sold AS-IS are not covered under warranty.
What is the Buy-Back Guarantee?
If you're ready to upgrade or move on from a piece of gear you bought from us within the last 2 years, we've got you covered. We’ll buy it back for 50% of what you paid in the same functional condition as when you bought it.
- Obsolete and as-is products void.
An item I want is not available to ship?
While most items are available for shipping, we do not ship:
- Full size guitar amps, heads, and cabs
- Keyboard over 76 keys or deemed too fragile to ship
- Drums and most drum hardware
- Speakers
- Monitors with speakers over 5”
If an item you want that doesn’t fit these specifications but shows shipping unavailable, give us a call and we can see if we could make something work!
We reserve the right to not ship items that are extremely heavy, large or likely to get damaged during shipping.
