Used Bacchus Woodline 5-String Bass

Description

The Bacchus Woodline 5-String Bass is a versatile extended-range electric bass built around a familiar J-style platform while incorporating the distinctive design approach of Bacchus. Known among bass enthusiasts for producing instruments that range from accessible production models to high-end Japanese builds, Bacchus has earned a following with players looking for quality instruments outside the usual mainstream brands.

The Woodline design combines traditional bass ergonomics with a more contemporary feel, making this 5-string a strong choice for players who need an extended low register without moving to an overly modern or unconventional body shape. The additional low string provides access to deeper notes that work especially well for gospel, R&B, funk, fusion, jazz, pop, rock, and contemporary session work.

Its J-style pickup layout provides a useful foundation for both defined bridge-pickup tones and fuller neck-position sounds, with blended settings offering plenty of versatility for different playing styles. Whether you're playing fingerstyle lines, slap passages, melodic fills, or more technical material, the Woodline platform is designed to remain articulate and responsive.

In the studio, the Woodline 5 can be an especially practical bass. Its extended range makes it possible to cover modern arrangements that reach below standard 4-string territory, while its familiar tonal character can sit naturally in a mix. It can be tracked directly through an interface or DI, or paired with bass amps, preamps, compressors, and effects for additional tonal shaping.

Bacchus has produced Woodline instruments in a variety of configurations and production series, so please refer carefully to the photos for the exact country of manufacture, woods, pickups, electronics, controls, bridge, tuners, finish, and other specifications of this particular bass.
