Used Schiit Audio Jotunheim 2 Headphone Amplifier / Preamp

Description

The Schiit Audio Jotunheim 2 is a powerful desktop balanced headphone amplifier and preamplifier designed for serious headphone listening, studio monitoring, and compact desktop audio systems. Known for its high-output design and flexible connectivity, the Jotunheim 2 can drive a wide range of headphones while also serving as the control center for powered monitors or an external amplifier.

One of the Jotunheim 2's biggest strengths is its combination of balanced and single-ended operation. The front panel provides headphone connectivity for both types of setups, while rear-panel inputs and preamp outputs make it easy to integrate into a larger listening or production system. Switchable gain also helps accommodate headphones with different sensitivity and power requirements.

In a studio context, the Jotunheim 2 can function as a dedicated headphone monitoring amplifier, giving engineers and musicians a high-quality monitoring path separate from an audio interface's built-in headphone output. Its preamp functionality can also be useful in a desktop production setup with powered studio monitors.

Jotunheim 2 units were available in different configurations, including versions with optional internal modules. Because the exact installed configuration materially affects functionality, please refer to the photos for the rear-panel connections and installed module on this particular unit. Do not assume that a DAC, phono stage, or other optional module is included unless it is specifically shown or stated.
