Used Epiphone Adam Jones 1979 Les Paul Custom

Description

The Epiphone Adam Jones 1979 Les Paul Custom recreates the unmistakable look and heavy tonal personality of the prized 1979 Gibson Les Paul Custom associated with Adam Jones of Tool. Designed for players who want Jones' distinctive Les Paul aesthetic and a powerful dual-humbucker platform, this signature model combines classic Custom appointments with artist-specific details.

Its Les Paul Custom foundation provides the substantial feel, sustain, and focused midrange that work especially well for heavy rhythm guitar. The pickup configuration is designed around Jones' characteristic combination of a powerful bridge humbucker and warmer neck position, giving the guitar plenty of range for crushing riffs, articulate distorted passages, sustained leads, and atmospheric clean sounds.

Visually, this model captures the instantly recognizable Silverburst-style aesthetic closely associated with Jones. The Custom appointments, bound appearance, block fingerboard inlays, and traditional Les Paul hardware give it a premium look while preserving the dark, industrial character that makes the Adam Jones design immediately recognizable.

In the studio, this guitar is a natural choice for high-gain rhythm tracking, layered guitar parts, drop-tuned riffs, progressive metal, alternative rock, hard rock, and effects-heavy textures. It also works exceptionally well with delay, modulation, and ambient effects for building the spacious, evolving sounds often associated with progressive and experimental guitar production.

Several Adam Jones Epiphone releases and special variants have appeared, so please refer carefully to the photos for the exact model designation, artwork or back design if applicable, pickups, finish, hardware, factory markings, serial number, case, and included accessories on this particular guitar.
