Used Taylor 514ce Acoustic-Electric Guitar

Description

The Taylor 514ce is a premium acoustic-electric guitar that combines Taylor's comfortable playability with the balanced, responsive character of its popular Grand Auditorium body shape. Designed to work equally well for fingerstyle playing, accompaniment, and more assertive strumming, the 514ce is an excellent choice for players looking for a versatile professional-grade acoustic.

The Grand Auditorium design sits comfortably between smaller fingerstyle-oriented instruments and larger dreadnought-style guitars. It offers plenty of projection while maintaining clarity and separation across the strings, making the 514ce especially useful for singer-songwriters, worship players, acoustic ensembles, solo performers, and studio musicians.

The "c" and "e" designation indicates a cutaway and onboard electronics, giving the player easier access to the upper register along with the ability to plug directly into an acoustic amplifier, PA system, or recording setup. This makes the 514ce particularly practical as a stage instrument while retaining the dynamic response and detail expected from a quality Taylor acoustic.

In the studio, the 514ce can cover a wide range of roles, from detailed fingerpicked passages to full rhythm tracks. Taylor has produced the 514ce across multiple generations, however, and its tonewoods, bracing, electronics, appointments, and other specifications have changed over time. For that reason, the exact year and configuration of this particular guitar should be determined from its serial information and photos rather than assuming specifications from a current-production 514ce.

Please refer carefully to the photos for the exact top, back and side woods, bracing generation, electronics system, finish, bridge, tuners, fretboard appointments, serial information, cosmetic condition, and included case or accessories.

Condition

This Taylor 514ce is used, tested, and fully functional. It shows normal signs of wear consistent with previous use. For the exact cosmetic condition, including scratches, dings, finish wear, pick wear, fret wear, neck condition, bridge, electronics, binding, tuners, top condition, back and sides, and any included case or accessories, please refer carefully to the photos provided.

As with any used acoustic guitar, the photos should also be reviewed carefully for the condition of the top, bridge area, neck joint, binding, finish, and other age- or use-related details.
