Used Rivera M100 Tube Guitar Amplifier Head

Description

The Rivera M100 is a powerful professional tube guitar amplifier built around Paul Rivera's reputation for combining American-style cleans with muscular British-inspired overdrive in a versatile, performance-oriented design. With substantial output and plenty of headroom, the M100 is an excellent choice for players who want a serious stage amplifier capable of covering both articulate clean work and saturated rock tones.

One of the strengths of Rivera amplifiers is their ability to move between contrasting amplifier voices without feeling like a compromise. The M100 can provide broad, dynamic clean sounds that work well with pedals, while its higher-gain side delivers the thicker midrange, sustain, and crunch needed for rock and heavier styles. This makes it useful for players who would otherwise need multiple amplifiers to cover a set.

The M100 is particularly well suited for rock, blues, hard rock, fusion, alternative, progressive music, and high-volume clean applications. Its substantial tube power provides strong transient response and stage authority, while the preamp offers enough tonal flexibility to accommodate different guitars, pickups, cabinets, and playing styles.

In the studio, the M100 can serve as a versatile tube-amp platform for layering contrasting guitar sounds. Pair it with different cabinets, speakers, microphones, and gain settings to move from large clean rhythm tracks to crunchy chords and saturated lead sounds. Its clean headroom also makes it an excellent platform for fuzz, overdrive, delay, modulation, and other effects.

The Rivera M100 has existed in different configurations and individual older examples may have received service or component replacement over the years.
