Used Fender Hot Rod DeVille 212 IV 60-Watt Tube Guitar Combo Amplifier

Description

The Fender Hot Rod DeVille 212 IV is a powerful, professional-quality all-tube guitar amplifier that delivers the legendary Fender clean sound, rich tube warmth, and impressive stage volume that working guitarists love. Featuring 60 watts of tube power and two 12-inch Celestion speakers, this versatile combo amplifier is built for musicians who need exceptional clean headroom, dynamic response, and dependable performance.

Part of Fender's acclaimed Hot Rod series, the DeVille 212 IV builds on a long tradition of powerful tube amplifiers designed for the stage. The fourth-generation design incorporates refinements to the preamp, reverb, and overall performance while preserving the classic Fender character that has made the Hot Rod DeVille a favorite among guitarists for decades.

One of the biggest attractions of this amplifier is its massive clean headroom. With 60 watts of tube power and a pair of 12-inch speakers, the DeVille 212 IV delivers sparkling highs, full-bodied lows, and the unmistakable warmth of a Fender tube amplifier. Its clean tones remain articulate and powerful even at performance volumes, making it especially appealing to musicians who rely on pedals to shape their sound.

The amplifier features three selectable sounds: Normal, Drive, and More Drive, allowing players to move from pristine Fender cleans to warm blues breakup and aggressive overdriven tones.

The Normal channel delivers the classic Fender clean sound, making it an excellent foundation for country picking, jazz chords, blues, pop, and effects-driven guitar tones.

The Drive channel introduces rich tube saturation, while the More Drive setting provides additional gain for more aggressive lead playing and rock rhythms.

Another standout feature is the amplifier's spring reverb, which adds spacious, classic Fender ambience to clean and driven sounds. The Version IV design features a smoother reverb response, making it especially useful for blues, surf, classic rock, and atmospheric guitar textures.

The dual 12-inch Celestion A-Type speakers provide a full, balanced sound with strong projection, warm midrange character, and excellent dynamic response. This speaker configuration helps the amplifier fill larger rooms while maintaining clarity and definition.

The DeVille 212 IV is also an excellent pedal platform. Its powerful clean channel works beautifully with overdrive, distortion, fuzz, modulation, delay, and reverb pedals, allowing players to build a highly personalized guitar sound.

For studio recording, the amplifier offers the rich harmonic character and natural compression of a traditional tube circuit. Its clean and overdriven tones are well suited to blues, classic rock, country, indie, alternative, worship, and pop recordings.

Whether you're playing club gigs, rehearsing with a full band, recording in the studio, or building a versatile pedal-based guitar rig, the Fender Hot Rod DeVille 212 IV delivers commanding tube tone, excellent versatility, and unmistakable Fender sound.
