Used Epiphone Sheraton E212T 60s Reissue Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar

Description

The Epiphone Sheraton E212T 60s Reissue is a beautifully styled semi-hollow electric guitar that celebrates one of Epiphone's most iconic designs from the golden era of electric guitar manufacturing. Combining elegant vintage aesthetics, warm semi-hollow resonance, and classic dual-pickup versatility, this Sheraton is an excellent choice for players who appreciate the sophistication and musical character of 1960s-inspired instruments.

The original Sheraton was introduced in 1958 and quickly became one of Epiphone's premier electric guitar models. Its upscale appointments, distinctive headstock, and refined semi-hollow construction helped establish it as a serious professional instrument.

The E212T designation is associated with the Sheraton's early model history, and this 60s Reissue pays tribute to that celebrated vintage design. Its combination of classic styling and semi-hollow tone makes it especially appealing to blues, jazz, rock, soul, and roots-music players.

One of the guitar's defining features is its double-cutaway semi-hollow body. This construction offers a lively, resonant response with the warmth and acoustic character associated with hollow-body guitars, while providing the focused attack and sustain that make semi-hollow instruments so versatile.

The Sheraton's elegant appearance is another major attraction. The model is known for its distinctive multi-ply binding, decorative fingerboard inlays, and ornate headstock appointments, giving it an upscale vintage aesthetic that stands out onstage and in the studio.

The classic Sheraton design is closely associated with dual humbucking pickups, which provide a wide range of sounds from warm, mellow jazz tones to articulate blues leads and punchy rock rhythm guitar.

With the neck pickup selected, the Sheraton can deliver smooth, rounded tones that work beautifully for jazz chords, soulful melodies, and expressive blues playing. The bridge pickup provides a brighter, more focused response for rock rhythms and cutting lead parts.

Combining both pickups can produce balanced, articulate sounds that are particularly effective for clean chord work, classic soul, and vintage-inspired pop arrangements.

The guitar's semi-hollow construction also makes it an excellent match for low- to medium-gain amplifiers, where its natural resonance and harmonic complexity can shine. Add overdrive, and the Sheraton can deliver singing lead tones and crunchy rhythm sounds with unmistakable character.

For recording applications, the Epiphone Sheraton is a versatile instrument for blues, jazz, indie rock, classic rock, soul, R&B, and Americana. Its tonal range makes it useful for everything from warm, intimate rhythm tracks to expressive solos.

The 1960s-inspired styling adds another layer of appeal for guitarists who love vintage instruments but want a guitar suited to regular playing and performance.

Whether you're searching for a stylish semi-hollow guitar, a vintage-inspired Epiphone, or an instrument with a broad range of musical applications, the Epiphone Sheraton E212T 60s Reissue delivers classic elegance, expressive tone, and timeless appeal.

The Sheraton name has been used across several production eras and reissue configurations. Exact production year, country of manufacture, pickup type, body construction, neck profile, bridge and tailpiece design, and original specifications should be confirmed from the individual instrument.
