Used Larrivée P-09 Vintage Acoustic Guitar – Natural

Description

The Larrivée P-09 is a beautifully crafted, premium parlor acoustic guitar that combines traditional styling, exceptional tonewoods, and the renowned craftsmanship of Larrivée Guitars. Featuring a compact body and elegant appointments, the P-09 delivers a rich, expressive acoustic voice that makes it an excellent choice for fingerstyle players, singer-songwriters, and acoustic guitar enthusiasts.

Part of Larrivée's highly regarded 09 Series, the P-09 is built around a solid Sitka spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides, providing a wonderful balance of clarity, warmth, resonance, and harmonic complexity. The spruce top delivers articulate note definition and dynamic response, while the rosewood adds depth, rich overtones, and a full-bodied acoustic character.

The guitar's traditional parlor-size body offers a comfortable playing experience, particularly for musicians who prefer a smaller instrument. Despite its compact dimensions, the P-09 produces an impressively rich and balanced sound with excellent projection for its size.

Larrivée's signature symmetrical bracing design helps produce an even tonal response across the frequency spectrum. This contributes to the guitar's articulate bass, clear midrange, and sparkling trebles, making individual notes stand out beautifully.

The P-09 is especially well suited for fingerpicking, folk, blues, acoustic jazz, and intimate singer-songwriter performances. Its responsive construction allows subtle picking dynamics to translate naturally into expressive musical detail.

The guitar's elegant appointments reflect the craftsmanship associated with Larrivée's higher-end acoustic instruments. The natural finish highlights the beauty of the wood, while the refined binding, rosette, and decorative details give the instrument a sophisticated, vintage-inspired appearance.

For musicians who appreciate traditional acoustic guitars, the P-09 offers the charm of a classic parlor instrument with the consistency and precision of modern professional guitar construction.

In the recording studio, the Larrivée P-09 is an outstanding choice for detailed fingerstyle passages, acoustic blues, folk arrangements, and intimate acoustic recordings. Its focused projection and balanced tonal character make it particularly appealing for microphone recording, where clarity and articulation are essential.

Whether you're a dedicated fingerstyle guitarist, a collector of premium acoustic instruments, or a musician searching for a comfortable small-body guitar with exceptional tone, the Larrivée P-09 delivers outstanding craftsmanship, expressive sound, and timeless acoustic character.

Exact production year, wood specifications, finish details, and factory appointments should be confirmed from the individual instrument, as specifications may vary by production period.
