Martin wraps the ball ends of its MA540S Marquis 92/8 Phosphor Bronze acoustic strings with soft silk. This helps protect your guitar's bridge and end plate as you play. These light gauge strings are made with tin-plated steel core wire and Phosphor Bronze wrap wire.
