Description

This ZVEX Double Rock packs two independent high-gain boost and overdrive channels into one seriously flexible pedal. Each side features Drive, Tone, and Volume controls, plus a Sub switch for adjusting low-frequency response. Either channel can also be switched into Super Hard On-style boost mode, letting you configure the pedal as two drives, two boosts, or one of each.

The real fun comes from stacking the two sides together. ZVEX based the Double Rock around the drive circuit developed for the Distortron, with tones inspired by cranked classic British amps and enough range to move from gritty boost territory into thick, harmonically loaded distortion. Since either side can feed the other, you can build separate rhythm and lead sounds or slam one drive stage with another for heavier saturation and sustain.
