Description

This Warm Audio WA-87 R2 is a large-diaphragm FET condenser microphone inspired by one of the studio world’s most recognizable microphone designs. Its custom K-87-style capsule and discrete transformer-balanced circuitry deliver a detailed sound with a smooth, warm character.

Three selectable polar patterns include cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-eight, allowing the WA-87 R2 to handle vocals, acoustic instruments, amplifiers, room capture, and stereo recording techniques. An 80 Hz high-pass filter helps control low-frequency rumble, while the -10 dB pad provides extra headroom for louder sources. The box and mounts are included.
