Boss HM-2W Waza Craft designed as the official reissue of the legendary HM-2 Heavy Metal pedal, faithfully recreating one of the most iconic distortion sounds ever produced. Originally released in 1983, the HM-2 became famous for its unmistakable “chainsaw” tone that defined the sound of Swedish death metal and later found its way into shoegaze, hardcore, and experimental music. The HM-2W brings back the authentic analog circuitry of the original with modern refinements and expanded tonal flexibility.

The pedal features the classic Level, Distortion, Color Mix Low, and Color Mix High controls, allowing everything from aggressive saturated distortion to surprisingly versatile mid-gain tones. Standard mode recreates the original HM-2 sound with reduced noise and increased output, while Custom mode adds more gain, low end, and overall punch for heavier modern tones.
