Overview
This is a vintage Silvertone archtop guitar made in the USA, originally sold through Sears & Roebuck. Based on the construction details, headstock shape, and the “367” manufacturer code stamped on the back of the headstock, this guitar was built by Kay Musical Instrument Company, one of the major Chicago builders for Silvertone during the 1950s.
It features a classic archtop hollowbody design with f-holes, sunburst finish, floating wooden bridge, trapeze tailpiece, and a bolt-on neck. These guitars were popular with early jazz, blues, and folk players and are still sought after today for their dry, woody tone and vintage vibe.
