Here’s a super clean 1984 Yamaha FG-345II, built on December 12th, 1984. It’s one of the best examples of the vintage FG lineup—big, warm, and loud with that unmistakable Yamaha character players love. These mid-'80s FG models hit the sweet spot between the earlier '70s designs and the more modern FG builds, keeping the classic dreadnought punch while adding slightly improved neck feel and build consistency.

This FG-345II features a laminated spruce top with beautifully figured laminated rosewood back and sides, a combination Yamaha used for years because of its stability and balanced tone. You get that instantly recognizable Yamaha dreadnought voice: tight low end, strong mid-range presence, and a crisp, open top-end that makes strumming feel huge and articulate. It’s one of those acoustics that just sounds “finished” right out of the gate—no onboard electronics, no tricks, just a solid, loud, great-sounding guitar from a golden era of Yamaha acoustics.

The neck has Yamaha’s comfortable mid-80s profile: not chunky, not thin, just a very easy-playing shape with great fret access and a smooth satin feel.
