REINHART EFFECTS ANNOYING ORANGE – MODIFIED DS-1-STYLE DISTORTION

A familiar orange distortion circuit—without being stuck in the familiar orange distortion box.

Handmade locally in Toledo, Ohio, the Reinhart Effects Annoying Orange starts with the classic Boss DS-1 distortion concept and reworks the circuit to provide a broader, more usable range from its gain and tone controls.

The DS-1 has earned its place as one of the most recognizable distortion pedals ever made, but its distinctive control response can make finding the sweet spot part of the experience. The Annoying Orange takes a different approach.

Reinhart has modified the structure of both the gain and tone sections, expanding the range of sounds available from the familiar three-control layout. The result keeps the straightforward character and aggressive distortion associated with the classic circuit while giving you considerably more room to shape it for your guitar, amp and playing style.

It also features true-bypass switching rather than the buffered bypass arrangement of the traditional DS-1 design.

Three controls keep operation simple:

Tone – Adjusts the overall brightness and darkness of the distortion.

Dist – Controls the amount of gain and distortion.

Level – Controls the pedal's overall output volume.
