This vintage Leo Deluxe 5-string resonator banjo is a well-built Japanese-made instrument from the golden era of Japanese banjo production. Featuring ornate pearl inlays, a distinctive Leo headstock design, resonator construction, and quality hardware throughout, this banjo offers classic bluegrass styling with the craftsmanship that made many Japanese instruments from this period highly regarded among players.

The Leo Deluxe models are becoming increasingly difficult to find and offer a unique alternative to more common import banjos. This example features a traditional resonator design for increased projection and volume, making it well suited for bluegrass, folk, country, and traditional acoustic music.

The banjo includes a Fender hard shell case for safe storage and transportation.

Condition:

This banjo is in very good overall condition for its age and shows normal cosmetic wear from decades of use. Light scratches, finish wear, and minor signs of handling may be present throughout. Hardware shows typical age-related wear and patina. The neck, resonator, and rim assembly appear structurally sound, and the instrument is fully playable.
