Vintage Jackson-Guldan Jay G Adjustomatic Parlor Acoustic Guitar - USA - Sunburst

This vintage Jay G parlor acoustic was manufactured by the Jackson-Guldan Company of Columbus, Ohio. Jackson-Guldan was best known for its stringed instruments and produced guitars under several different brand names, with Jay G being one of its recognizable vintage acoustic lines.

One of the most interesting features of this guitar is Jackson-Guldan's unusual Adjustomatic neck design. An original instruction label remains inside the body explaining how the neck angle can be adjusted using the screw at the fingerboard/neck joint. This allowed the player to alter the string height without a traditional neck reset.

The guitar features a compact parlor-size body with a sunburst finish, floating wooden bridge, trapeze tailpiece, white pickguard, dot fingerboard markers, and vintage Kluson Deluxe strip-style tuning machines.

Condition:

This guitar is in good vintage condition and shows considerable honest cosmetic wear consistent with its age. There are numerous scratches, scuffs, finish chips, dings, marks, and areas of finish wear throughout the body, neck, and headstock. The tuning machine buttons also show age-related discoloration and wear.

The cosmetic wear gives the guitar plenty of genuine vintage character and is clearly shown in the photos.
