1967 Gibson ES-330TDC Cherry Vintage Hollowbody Electric Guitar w/ Vintage Gibson Hardshell Case, Factory 2nd

A true piece of Gibson history, this believed 1967 Gibson ES-330TDC is a beautifully preserved example of one of Gibson's most iconic vintage hollowbody electric guitars. Finished in its classic Cherry nitrocellulose lacquer, this fully hollow ES-330 delivers the unmistakable warmth, clarity, and dynamic response that has made these guitars favorites among collectors and players for generations.

Based on the serial number (119404), construction details, wide 1 3/4" nut, early short-neck body joint, appointments, and information provided by the previous owner, we believe this guitar to be a 1967 Gibson ES-330TDC. Due to the fully hollow construction, the electronics were not removed to inspect potentiometer codes, although the electronics and hardware appear to be original based on visual inspection.

The guitar features dual chrome-covered Gibson P-90 pickups, a rosewood fingerboard with block pearl inlays, reflector control knobs, Tune-O-Matic bridge, raised diamond trapeze tailpiece, and the desirable early wide nut. The back of the headstock bears Gibson's period "2" factory stamp, indicating it left the factory as a Factory Second, typically for a minor cosmetic imperfection. Any original reason for the designation is no longer readily apparent.

The Cherry finish has aged beautifully over the past six decades and displays the rich depth, patina, and character only found on a genuine vintage Gibson. The guitar includes a vintage Gibson hardshell case with the correct red plush interior.

Condition:

This guitar is in very good vintage condition and has been thoroughly inspected and tested. It shows honest cosmetic wear consistent with nearly 60 years of use, including finish scratches, lacquer checking, small dings, edge wear, hardware oxidation, and natural aging throughout. The frets show normal play wear but still have plenty of life remaining. The neck is straight, the electronics function properly, and the guitar plays and sounds excellent. We found no evidence of structural repairs or headstock damage during our inspection.

Vintage ES-330s from the early 1960s continue to be among Gibson's most sought-after hollowbody models, offering exceptional resonance, lightweight construction, and the unmistakable tone of vintage Gibson P-90 pickups.
