1996 Squier Affinity Stratocaster Torino Red – Modified Back / No Trem Cover

This is an early Chinese-made Squier Affinity Stratocaster finished in Torino Red with a maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, three single-coil pickups, and vintage-style tremolo.

Serial number NC697917 dates this guitar to approximately 1996. These early NC-series Chinese Affinity Stratocasters differ from many later Affinity models and feature the earlier full-size Strat-style body and 22-fret neck.

The guitar has a classic SSS pickup configuration with 5-way switching, one volume control, two tone controls, chrome hardware, and a cream/aged-white pickguard and pickup covers.

PLEASE NOTE: This guitar has been cosmetically modified on the back. A large black graphic/design has been applied around the tremolo cavity area. The rear tremolo cavity cover is also missing, and the original mounting holes remain visible. Please review the photos carefully, as this modification is a prominent part of the guitar's current condition.

Condition:

Fair used condition with noticeable cosmetic wear and modification.

The front of the guitar presents fairly well overall with normal scratches, scuffs, small finish marks, and signs of previous use.

The back of the body has been significantly cosmetically modified with a large black painted/applied graphic surrounding the tremolo cavity. The rear tremolo cover is missing, leaving the tremolo springs and cavity exposed. Several empty mounting holes are visible around this area.

The neck and headstock show normal wear consistent with age and use. Hardware shows typical age-related wear and oxidation.

Because of the unusual cosmetic modification, we strongly recommend reviewing all photos carefully for the best representation of the guitar's condition.

A cool early-production Squier Affinity Strat with the desirable full-size body construction, priced accordingly due to the extensive cosmetic modification on the back.
