Alter Ego Effectors Damnation 1692 Limited Edition Distortion Pedal #1654 of 1692

The Alter Ego Effectors Damnation is an uncommon limited-edition distortion and gain booster designed around dark, aggressive, amp-like overdrive tones.

This example is the first-edition “Monochromatic Gloom” version, model DM-MG-1692. Production of this version was limited to 1,692 pedals worldwide, and this pedal retains its numbered holographic seal identifying it as #1654 of 1692.

The Damnation was designed for a warm, dark and heavily overdriven character inspired by pushed classic tube amplifiers rather than an extremely compressed modern high-gain sound. It can range from lower-gain British-style crunch and gain boosting to thick, heavy distortion suited to classic metal, heavy rock, stoner rock and doom-oriented sounds.

Four controls provide considerably more tone shaping than the unusual graphics initially suggest:

Condition:

Good used condition with cosmetic wear from previous use. The enclosure shows scratches, scuffs, small chips, edge wear and other marks consistent with regular use.

IMPORTANT: The original battery compartment cover is missing. A previous owner fabricated a replacement cover from a piece of sheet metal. The homemade cover is functional as a physical cover but is not an original Alter Ego component. Please see the detailed photos showing the battery compartment and replacement cover.

The bottom manufacturer's label also shows wear and lifting around the edges.

Please review all photos closely for the exact cosmetic condition and the non-original battery cover.
