This vintage Pan American cornet was manufactured in Elkhart, Indiana, USA, and features an engraved brass bell, three piston valves, and a traditional compact cornet design.

The bell is engraved with the Pan American name, globe emblem, and Elkhart, Indiana markings. The valve casing is stamped with serial number 223896.

This instrument displays substantial cosmetic wear consistent with decades of use. Much of the original lacquer has worn away, leaving areas of exposed brass, dark discoloration, tarnishing, and oxidation.
