This model is uniquely distinguished by its early-era Les Paul combination trapeze tailpiece/bridge—where strings wrap under a solid metal bar—delivering impressive sustain, resonance, and an acoustic woody bite. Electronically, the "TD" variant expanded the versatility of its single-pickup predecessor by offering two powerful P-90 single-coil pickups with a standard four-knob control layout and a 3-way toggle switch.
