Used Gibson LES PAUL ADAM JONES (Tool) 1979 Electric Guitar Silver/Gray 6-String

Tool is one of the best metal/nouveau prog bands out there. And the sounds that Adam Jones gets from his 1979 Les Paul is amazing.

Here, we have a replica of Jones' guitar.

The 2022 Gibson Adam Jones Les Paul Standard in Antique Silverburst is a solidbody electric guitar that pays homage to the Tool guitarist's iconic 1979 Les Paul Custom, blending classic construction with custom artist appointments. It is a 6-string, right-handed instrument known for its heavy, aggressive tone and vintage feel. 

This Gibson Custom Shop product features a solid mahogany body with a maple top, a three-piece maple neck, custom pickups, and a replica of his headstock.

•  Finish and Body: The guitar features an Antique Silverburst finish in Murphy Lab Aged Nitrocellulose Lacquer, with seven-ply binding on the top and five-ply on the back and headstock. The body is solid mahogany with a 3-piece maple top (no weight relief).
• Neck and Fingerboard: It has a three-piece maple neck with a vintage-accurate "Medium C" or "Rounded C" profile, an ebony fingerboard, and mother-of-pearl block inlays.
• Electronics: The guitar is equipped with a specific, custom pickup configuration:
• Neck Pickup: A reverse-mounted Gibson Custombucker humbucker.
• Bridge Pickup: A custom-wound Seymour Duncan DDJ humbucker, known for its high-gain output.
• Controls: Hand-wired controls with a mix of potentiometers (one DiMarzio 500k volume pot for the bridge and three CTS pots) and Orange Drop capacitors.
• Hardware: All hardware is chrome-plated and aged, including a Tune-O-Matic bridge, stop bar tailpiece, and Schaller M6 tuners with large buttons.
• Unique Touches: The guitar includes several artist-specific details. The headstock art is really interesting.
