Part of the Marigaux 900 / 901 line, the 901 is a flagship French-“Conservatoire system” professional oboe built by Marigaux (SML) in La Couture-Boussey. Made of high-density grenadilla (Dalbergia melanoxylon) wood, carefully selected and seasoned (dried for several years) to stabilize tone, resist warping, and produce rich resonance. Keywork is silver-plated nickel silver, full Conservatoire system, with semi-automatic octave keys.
