The Oberheim DSX is a vintage digital polyphonic sequencer, not a pad controller. Released in 1981, it was designed as a central component of the "Oberheim System" to control other gear like the OB-X and DMX drum machine before MIDI existed.

• Sequencing: Features 10 polyphonic tracks per sequence, with a total memory of 6,000 notes.
• 16-Voice Capability: Can drive up to 16 synth voices concurrently, allowing for complex arrangements.
• Connectivity: Uses a proprietary Oberheim Serial Buss and has eight independent CV/Gate outputs for controlling other analog synths.
• Recording: Supports both real-time and step recording.
