This vintage F.E. Olds & Son Ambassador cornet is a Fullerton-era American-made instrument dating to approximately 1960 based on serial number 279249.

PLEASE READ THE CONDITION INFORMATION CAREFULLY.

This instrument is in rough cosmetic condition and shows significant evidence of previous use, age, and damage. The body is visibly bent/out of alignment and there are numerous dents and dings throughout the instrument. This should be considered a project, repair, restoration, or parts instrument rather than a clean ready-to-play example.

The Ambassador was Olds' long-running student/intermediate-level brass instrument line and has developed a following among players and collectors of vintage American-made brass instruments.

Condition:

Fair condition with substantial cosmetic wear and damage.

The instrument is visibly bent/out of alignment and has numerous dents and dings throughout the bell, tubing, and body. The bell shows significant denting and deformation.

Finish shows extensive scratches, scuffs, lacquer wear, discoloration, tarnishing, oxidation, spotting, and other age-related wear throughout. There are numerous heavier scratches and marks visible on the bell and body.

The two included mouthpieces show substantial tarnishing, oxidation, discoloration, scratches, and general wear.

The vintage hard case is in rough cosmetic condition with significant exterior wear, staining, discoloration, fraying, edge wear, and deterioration from age and use.

Because of the instrument's physical condition, it is being represented as a project/repair instrument. Additional adjustment or professional repair may be necessary before regular playing use.
