Used Vintage Boss CE-3 Chorus Green Label Made in Japan Stereo Chorus Pedal

This Boss CE-3 Chorus is a vintage Made in Japan example featuring the desirable green bottom label and classic metallic blue Boss enclosure.

Controls include Rate and Depth for adjusting the speed and intensity of the chorus effect, along with a Stereo Mode control for selecting the behavior of the dual outputs.

This example is from the Japanese green-label production era and retains its original ACA-style power configuration.

Power Supply Information:

This vintage CE-3 was designed for the older Boss ACA power system rather than the modern Boss PSA-style 9V adapter system.

When tested with a standard modern 9V power supply, the pedal operates and produces the chorus effect normally, but the Check indicator light does not illuminate.

When operated from a 9V battery, the Check indicator light operates normally and the pedal functions as intended.

This behavior is consistent with the power requirements of vintage Boss ACA-equipped pedals and is being disclosed so the next owner understands the pedal's power requirements.

Power supply is not included.

Condition:

Good vintage condition.

The enclosure remains attractive overall with normal cosmetic wear from age and use. There are various small scratches, scuffs and edge marks, along with wear around the input/output jacks and hardware.

There is visible finish wear inside the battery compartment near the thumb screw.

The bottom green identification label remains present and clearly identifies the pedal as Made in Japan.

The rubber foot pad, controls, jacks and hardware are intact.

The pedal has been tested and the chorus effect functions as intended.

As noted above, the Check indicator illuminates normally when powered by a 9V battery but does not illuminate when the pedal is operated from the standard modern 9V power supply used during testing.

Please examine all photos carefully for the exact cosmetic condition.
